Updated: Sep 16

Hey ! In today's post, I am going to show you some DIY room decor ideas that are super fun to make and look amazing. These crafts have been everywhere lately so I have added some of my favourite videos that are also explaining how to make these crafts. I hope you enjoy these crafts and this post!!

Clay dishes

I am sure we all loved playing with clay and dough when we were younger, so this is exactly that! These clay dishes are super customisable and easy to make!

What you will need:

  • air drying clay

  • paints

  • paintbrushes

Simple steps:

  1. Mould the clay into the shape you desire ( look below for some inspo )

  2. Leave the clay to dry

  3. Paint your design and details onto the dish after it is fully dry

  4. Find the perfect place for your dish and enjoy!!

Macrame

I talked about macramé in a recent post, I think it is definitely a fun activity and the end result is always worth it. Macramé is almost an essential in rooms these days they make the whole vibe of the room lighter and cosier. You can make a wall hanging macramé or round mandala one anything! (look below for inspo)

Glass pressed flower decor

This is something I made myself and I absolutely loved it. I actually made this as a gift for my friend and she put it up in her room and it looks amazing!! This one is super simple and really fun and customisable!

What you will need:

  • floating glass frame

  • fresh flowers petal

Simple steps:

  1. Open the frame and arrange the flower petals however you would like (look below for some ideas)

  2. Display your frame securely and enjoy!

Music plaques

This DIY is really aesthetic and personalised. Music plaques can be a little tricky but the end result is definitely worth the effort.

What you will need:

  • glass frame

  • white paint/white paint marker/white permanent marker

  • printed image of a screenshot of the screen when listening to the song - to the size of your frame

  • clear tape

Steps:

  1. Take out the glass panel from the frame

  2. Place the glass panel over the image

  3. Trace over the details with your white paint or white paint pen on the front

  4. Gently take out the image from under the glass

  5. Cut the album cover portion out

  6. Tape the album cover to the back of the glass panel - make sure you do this once the front is dry and try to not let the tape be seen.
